MSport Ghana Licence — GCG Reference & Verify

What’s confirmed

MSport Ghana operates under two GCG licences listed under trade name MSPORT on the regulator’s public register: Sports Betting and Online Casino, both valid 1 January 2026 through 31 December 2026, location Accra. The licence reference numbers — GCSB26R0957A (sports) and GCCA26S3348H (casino) — are operator-asserted via the inline configuration string on msport.com/gh. The GCG register itself does NOT publish licence reference numbers; only trade name, category, location, issue and expiry.

Where these come from — two-source provenance

Two separate primary sources cover the licensing fact:

  • The operator’s inline JS configuration string on msport.com/gh declares the licence references verbatim (operator-self-published).
  • The Gaming Commission of Ghana licensed-operators register confirms the trade name (MSPORT), the category (Sports Betting + Online Casino), the location (Accra), and the validity window (1/1/2026 – 31/12/2026). The register does not publish licence reference numbers.

The two sources align: the operator says “we hold licences GCSB26R0957A and GCCA26S3348H from the regulator”; the regulator’s register says “MSPORT holds Sports Betting + Online Casino licences for 2026 from Accra”. Both align on the entity, the category, and the validity. The numbers themselves are operator-self-published because the register doesn’t publish them — there’s no separate regulator source to cross-check the numbers against.

Operator copy uses a legacy regulator name

The operator’s licence string reads “approval of National Gaming Board” — legacy regulator name. The actual regulator since the 2006 Gaming Act is the Gaming Commission of Ghana. The licence numbers are real; the regulator name in the operator’s marketing is outdated. Editorial transparency note, not a legitimacy issue.

Rejected leads — affiliate copy with conflicting numbers

Two other licence-number pairs circulate in third-party affiliate copy. Both are NOT cited here:

  • GCSB20L4400R + “National Gaming Board” — appears on ghanasoccernet; wrong-regulator string + no primary source. Rejected.
  • GCSB25K0652L + GCCA25Y8809C — appears on msport.com.gh, a third-party WordPress affiliate site that is NOT the operator. Different numbers from the operator’s own primary string. Rejected.

The operator’s own configuration string on msport.com/gh is the only primary source for the numbers. Trust the operator’s own publication, cross-referenced against the GCG register’s category + validity confirmation.

What GCG-licensed buys (and doesn’t)

  • Buys: regulatory recourse — disputes escalate to the GCG. Capital-reserve requirements. AML controls. Local tax clarity.
  • Does NOT buy: bonus-term favourability, withdrawal-speed guarantees, customer-support responsiveness, or any product-quality claim. The licence is the regulatory floor; the rest is up to operator practice.

MSport Ghana licence — FAQ

Where are the licence numbers published?+

Operator-self-published in the inline configuration string on msport.com/gh. GCG register confirms the trade name + category + validity but does not publish licence reference numbers itself.

What’s the difference between the two licences?+

Sports Betting (GCSB26R0957A) covers fixed-odds betting on real-world events. Online Casino (GCCA26S3348H) covers casino games including Aviator and the native slate.

When do the licences expire?+

31 December 2026. Both. Renewal is on the regulator’s annual cycle.

What if MSport loses its licence?+

If a licence is not renewed, the operator cannot legally accept GH bets. Withdrawal recourse routes through the GCG.

Who is the licensee entity?+

GH-legal entity name TBD on our verification posture. GCG register lists trade name MSPORT only.

Why does the operator say “National Gaming Board”?+

Legacy regulator name in operator marketing copy. Real regulator is the GCG since 2006. Transparency concern, not a legitimacy issue.
