MSport Telecel/Vodafone Ghana — Deposit, Withdraw

What’s confirmed

Telecel Cash (formerly Vodafone Cash before the 2024 rebrand) is operator-typical for GH-licensed sportsbooks. MSport’s published operator config does NOT mention the channel by name — only MTN MoMo via the paybill *711*800#. Telecel Cash status on MSport is TBD pending live verification.

Vodafone Cash → Telecel Cash

In 2024, Vodafone Ghana was acquired and the mobile-money product was rebranded from Vodafone Cash to Telecel Cash. Operator copy across the GH-market often still says “Vodafone” — pre-rebrand language that hasn’t been updated everywhere. Whether MSport’s deposit screen labels the channel “Vodafone” or “Telecel” is TBD; the underlying mobile-money wallet is the same regardless.

If you see 'Vodafone' on the deposit screen

That’s the legacy label for what is now Telecel Cash. Your Vodafone Cash wallet from before 2024 is the same wallet (now branded Telecel). The transaction flow is unchanged.

If Telecel Cash is in the lobby

Operator-typical flow: sign in → Deposit → Telecel Cash → enter amount → confirm at the Telecel prompt with wallet PIN → wait for SMS + balance update. If Telecel is NOT in the lobby, the confirmed alternative is MTN MoMo via the in-app flow or the published paybill *711*800#.

MSport Telecel/Vodafone Ghana — FAQ

Does MSport accept Telecel Cash?+

TBD until confirmed on the live deposit screen. Operator-typical for GH; not in the published operator config.

What if my deposit screen still says “Vodafone”?+

Same wallet, legacy label. Telecel Cash IS Vodafone Cash post-rebrand. The flow is the same.

What’s the minimum Telecel deposit?+

TBD.

Can I withdraw to Telecel?+

TBD. Operator-typical: deposit-channel parity.

Is there a transaction fee?+

TBD. Telecel/Vodafone standard fees may apply.

What if I’m on MTN instead?+

MTN MoMo deposit is the confirmed primary rail.

How to deposit with Telecel Cash on MSport

Telecel Cash is the rebranded Vodafone Cash wallet — if you still see “Vodafone Cash” on a screen, it is the same rail under the new Telecel name after the ownership change. On MSport Ghana the deposit flow follows the operator-typical mobile-money pattern:

  1. Log in and open the Deposit / cashier screen.
  2. Choose Telecel Cash (or “Vodafone Cash” if the label has not been updated yet).
  3. Enter the amount and your Telecel-registered number.
  4. Approve the prompt on your phone (USSD push or the Telecel app) with your PIN.
  5. The balance reflects once the network confirms — usually seconds to a couple of minutes.

Telecel Cash withdrawals

Withdrawals return to the same Telecel number after your account has passed KYC. Median payout timing and any per-day caps are operator-side, so we mark them TBD rather than guess. First withdrawals can take longer because verification is checked before the first payout clears — that is normal across licensed Ghana operators, not an MSport-specific delay.

Why Telecel matters in Ghana

Telecel (ex-Vodafone) is one of the three mobile-money networks Ghanaian punters use alongside MTN MoMo and AirtelTigo Money. A working Telecel route means players on that network can fund an account without a card or bank transfer. If MSport shows only MTN in your cashier, Telecel users can still deposit through the USSD paybill or by topping up via an agent and moving funds across.

Fact note — Vodafone Cash is now Telecel Cash

Ghana’s Vodafone business was rebranded to Telecel Ghana. “Vodafone Cash” and “Telecel Cash” are the same wallet — same number, same rail, only the name changed. Any page (ours or a competitor’s) still saying only “Vodafone” is out of date.
